The Delhi government’s newly launched Chief Minister Shri Schools have received more than 50,000 applications after the commencement of the admission process for these institutions kicked off on August 15, National Capital’s Education Minister Ashish Sood said on Tuesday.
According to information given by Sood, it indicates a significant interest shown by the public towards the Rekha Gupta government’s new initiative.

The data regarding applications shows the highest number for Class 8, with 20,762 submissions.
For admissions into class 7, the department has received 15,114 applications, and for sixth standard, the number of requests is 14,928.
Expressing delight at this overwhelming response from the public towards the fresh step in education, Sood assured parents of a transparent and seamless admission process for these schools.
He said that this massive turn-up of applications stands as a strong testament to the community’s faith in the Delhi government’s unwavering commitment to raising new benchmarks in educational excellence.
The minister also described the response as an “emphatic endorsement” of the government’s vision to provide education through institutions with modern infrastructure and teaching methods.
He shared that the launch of these CM Shri schools is part of the current administration’s policy to establish what it calls “new benchmarks in educational excellence.”
